Dr. Shameika Daye is the Director of Program Review and Planning at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she provides division-wide leadership and direction for the academic program review process, guides the academic annual planning and reporting process, and collaborates with leaders on co-curricular student learning outcome assessment efforts.
Dr. Daye received her Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of Central Florida. Her research examines how the intersection of identity and embodiment impacts workplace experiences and consumer consumption. Dr. Daye has also given several public and professional conference presentations on women and leadership in corporate and higher education institutions, as well as the first-generation college students’ experience of navigating undergraduate and graduate programs.
Dr. Daye has over 10 years of classroom experience as an Instructor for the LEAD Scholars and Strategies for Success in College Programs at the University of Central Florida and as an Associate Instructor at Valencia College.
Her more than 17 years of higher education experience includes managing multi-million dollar federal, state, and private financial aid and scholarship programs, implementing a university-wide scholarship management system, facilitating program planning, evaluation, assessment, and strategic initiatives for an academic department, and research administration as an IRB specialist.
